No more exporting your files to Claude: Claude comes into Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook, as an official side panel. It reads your workbook (formulas included), explains variances, changes assumptions without breaking anything, and adapts your slides while respecting your presentation template. Word, Excel, and PowerPoint are generally available; Outlook is in public beta.
One-minute install, like any Office add-in: Home → Add-ins → Store → "Claude by Anthropic".
🆕 On Google Workspace?
Since October 6, 2026, the same side panel exists in Google Docs, Sheets and Slides: the Claude for Google Workspace add-on (public beta, every paid plan). In Docs, Claude fixes and restyles text in place; in Sheets, it writes formulas and builds pivot tables and charts; in Slides, it follows your templates and checks that nothing spills off the slide. Two modes: you approve each edit, or you let it apply everything. Install it from the Google Workspace Marketplace (Extensions → Claude → Open Claude), or have your admin deploy it from the Google Admin console. Claude only reaches the files your Google sharing permissions open to it. For Claude to edit your Google files from claude.ai as well, turn on the Google Docs, Sheets and Slides connectors (on Team and Enterprise, an owner must authorize them first).
