But it's the app installed on your computer that unlocks the superpowers: access to your files (Cowork), screen control, instant shortcuts. Install it the way you'd install Word — it's the move that takes Claude from "website" to "office colleague."

Two spaces: Home and Code The Desktop app is organized in two spaces at the top of the window: Home and Code. There's no separate "Cowork" tab anymore: delegation over your files — creating an Excel file, a deck, chaining several tools — is now the default behavior of Home. You chat and you delegate in the same place. Home's sidebar brings together New, Projects, Artifacts, Scheduled, Dispatch (Beta), Customize, along with your tasks in progress (the Dispatch section) and your pinned projects. The rest of this guide keeps saying "Cowork" to name this capability: it's exactly that, now housed within Home.
